Children's Hospital of Michigan Names Chief Nursing Officer
DETROIT — Children’s Hospital of Michigan is pleased to announce Kelley Kostich, Ph.D., RN, NE-BC has accepted the role as Chief Nursing Officer at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
Kostich joins Children’s Hospital of Michigan from SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. with more than a decade of nursing leadership experience including her most recent role as Administrative Director of Nursing Operations. She assumes this new role as Chief Nursing Officer effective Monday, April 5, 2021.
Kostich is an experienced nurse leader dedicated to advancing the practice of nursing by engaging interdisciplinary stakeholders in strategies to improve patient safety and quality, employee engagement, patient experience, clinical growth and development. Most recently at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, Kostich played in key role in achieving Magnet® Designation, improving rates for all hospital acquired conditions better than benchmark and earning 100% patient experience scores in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Kostich earned a Ph.D. in Nursing from University of Missouri in Kansas City, Mo., a master’s degree in Health Care and Nursing Administration from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Ill., and a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. She’s affiliated with the American Association of Nurse Executives and the American Nurses Association.
